2026 Commendations & Commissioning Awards Ceremony

The purpose of Pacifica's Commendations & Commissioning Service is to commend students–both communally and individually–for their pursuit of thinking and living well over the past year, as well as commissioning our students to continue in their diligence and pursuit of good character into next year.

Thinking Well Awards include recognizing those who earned a GPA that merits being on the honor roll, and Department Awards, which are given by academic departments for students who regularly practice Intellectual Virtue.

Living Well Awards are given in three sub categories: to students who have displayed a Growth Mindset, to our Top Athletes, and to students who have gone above and beyond by embodying The Pacifica Person.

At Pacifica, we recognize that students are more than their intellectual pursuits. We take a whole-person approach to education and for this reason, our faculty also publicly commend a few students each year who are uniquely demonstrating attributes of the Pacifica Person: Contributor, Thinker, Creator, Integrated Disciple, Connector, Ethical Decision Maker.

As is our tradition, the final awards given at this ceremony rightly honor members of our faculty and staff. As a school we give out four awards. One for scholarship. One for teaching. One for community and formation. And, one one for cultivating the school’s mission.

As we bring this year to a close, we want to commend all our students, staff, and faculty on a year well lived—a year where you sharpened your character, deepened your faith, and continued the sacred work of seeking truth, doing good, and beholding beauty. Well done, Tritons. Truly, well done!
