Declamations Contest

The Annual

Declamations Contest

This inspiring evening of oration showcases the talents of Pacifica’s students as they declaim masterfully crafted works—both new and familiar—from The Great Conversation.

Our annual Declamations Contest takes place at the beginning of the second semester and every student participates. Having progressed through several rounds of competition in their classes—our Declamations finalists declaim on stage in front of the entire Pacifica community in categories such as Bible/Theology, Non-Fiction/Historical, and Literature. In between presentations, musical interludes by our students entertain as a panel of judges deliberate. Then, at the end of the night, one winner from each category will be crowned and their name engraved onto the Declamations plaque for posterity.

We trust all those in attendance at this event will be reminded of the importance of continuing The Great Conversation and of the incredible capabilities of our young men and women.
