Biography

David Fung grew up in Northern California and has spent most of his life in the Bay Area. He moved to Los Angeles to attend Biola University, where he earned his B.A. in Bible, Theology, and Ministry. He also graduated from the Torrey Honors College, where he developed a deep love for classical education.

Throughout his life, David has been involved in a wide range of athletic and artistic pursuits. He has competed in high level fencing, swimming, wrestling, and water polo. He has also directed two plays, written multiple scripts, performed in various stage productions, and co-directed and written his own short film.

During his time in college, David concentrated his studies on the New Testament and classical education. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in New Testament, with a focus on the Gospels in their original language and historical context. When he’s not studying ancient Greek, he enjoys reading classical works by authors such as Plato, Dante, and Edmund Burke to help him think and live well.

In his free time, David enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, exploring art museums, and savoring good food. He is thrilled to be marrying the love of his life, Rachael, in the summer of 2025. David is also the co-founder of the Pulchrum Conference, which aims to reinvigorate the Christian community to once again value and create beautiful art.
