Who We Are

Kimberly Clarke was born and raised in Huntington Beach where she explored all the sports she could get her hands on as a kid. She graduated from Huntington Beach High School as a four-year varsity letterman in three sports. During her time in junior college, Kim played volleyball, track & field, and spent a semester abroad in Cambridge England. After transitioning to UC Davis, she completed her Bachelors in Biology, a Secondary Life Science Teaching Credential, and gained experience as a Graduate Assistant Coach of the UCD Track team. Through college, Kim also coached various 14’s, 16’s, and 18’s club volleyball teams in Huntington Beach and Davis.  Following her time in Davis, Kim returned to HBHS to teach Biology and AP Biology. She was fortunate to experience both playing for and coaching with the girls volleyball program at Huntington Beach under the legendary Rocky and Cammy Ciarelli. Kim spent her spring seasons heading up the HBHS Girls Track team while specializing her coaching on hurdlers, jumpers, and heptathletes.

Married in 2004, Kim and Chris Clarke live in Fountain Valley with their two boys, Nathan and Jordan, and their labradoodle—Tater Tot. Chris continues his career as a Captain in the Huntington Beach Marine Safety Division of HB Fire Department. They worship at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. After balancing coaching high school volleyball and track, mommy’ing, advising FCA huddles, and homeschooling in Classical Conversations since 2008, Kim is beyond eager to be coaching and working in the athletics department here at Pacifica Christian.
