Meet Elyona Brown, Class of 2022! Now at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Elyona studies Art and Kinesiology, with desires to pursue chiropractic medicine. Here her testimony from her time at Pacifica. She describes the unique offerings in and the intentionality of Pacifica's faculty and staff.

It's not every day we get to celebrate a multi-millennia anniversary of anything, let alone one of the most "substantial" moments in Christian history (sorry for the pun...if you know, you know), but this last Tuesday, May 20th, was the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, from which the church articulated its longstanding belief about the the divinity of Christ and, eventually, by way of Constantinople, its fulsome doctrine of the Trinity.

On May 17, Pacifica welcomed 435 parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends to our annual spring benefit, Bloom, and our 10-Year Celebration. What a night! It was a beautiful and joy-filled evening as we gathered to honor a decade of God’s faithfulness and provision.

We are excited to welcome several outstanding new educators to our team next year! Each of them is committed to the Christian faith, an expert in their field, and deeply dedicated to the formation of high school students. Please join us in welcoming them to the Triton community!

In honor the momentous decision our Seniors recently made on College Decision Day, we celebrated with a special all school assembly. Selected members from the graduating class shared their individual college decision journeys: public vs. private university, international school, gap years, athlete scholarships, and more. We ended our time together covering them in prayer and celebrating their next season ahead!

It is with great joy that I share the exciting news that Mr. Gordon Macpherson has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Pacifica Christian High School. Gordon brings to this role a deep and enduring commitment to our mission of teaching students to think and live well, to the glory of God. His leadership, experience, and passion for Christian schooling will be a tremendous blessing to our community as we continue to grow the work and ministry entrusted to us.

A traveling group of Tritons crossed the oceans to Greece and Turkey over spring break! From the moment our travelers landed in Athens, they were immersed in the ancient grandeur of a city named for the goddess Athena. Guided tours to landmarks like the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion and the dramatic Corinth Canal set the stage for a scenic and historic adventure. Winding through the Argolida region, Epidaurus, and Mycenae, the group explored legendary sites with expert guides and even delved into Mycenaean pottery traditions before arriving in Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games.

On the weekend of March 28, Pacifica’s young, gritty Junior Classical League (JCL) team embodied the above phrase, which translates to "through difficulties to the stars." A fitting phrase for our team, as they took 3rd place overall in the Small School category at the Junior Classical League State convention. 

Our Department Chair of History and Theology, Benjamin Vincent, has authored multiple pieces in Christianity Today. His most recent article answers the question posed by a Pacifica student: "Should a Christian have an open mind?”

Houston Mallette ('21) and current Alabama Basketball Guard was a featured guest on The Walk podcast where he shared about Pacifica's profound impact on his testimony.
