Fifth Annual Declamations Contest

Our annual Declamations Contest takes place at the beginning of the second semester. This inspiring evening of oration showcases the talents of Pacifica’s students as they declaim masterfully crafted works—both new and familiar—from The Great Conversation.

Having progressed through several rounds of competition in their classes—our Declamations finalists declaim on stage in front of the entire Pacifica community in categories such as Literature, Non-Fiction/Historical, and Bible/Theology. In between presentations, musical interludes by our students entertain as a panel of judges deliberate. Then, at the end of the night, one winner from each category will be crowned and their name engraved onto the Declamations plaque for posterity.

We trust all those in attendance at this event will be reminded of the importance of continuing The Great Conversation and of the incredible capabilities of our young men and women.

250 Years of Liberty: The American Experiment

You are invited to the next installment of The Great Conversation—a special lecture with featured speaker, Dr. Charles R. Kesler, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the enduring American experiment it set in motion.

In 2026, our nation will reach a historic civic milestone that invites grand celebration. Join us as we reflect on the following questions: What did 1776 assert about the human person, liberty, and self-government? What has that promise produced—at its best—and what does it require of us now?
