At the end of last year, Pacifica Mathematics Faculty member, Chris Caron started a book club to take on the challenging fiction: Les Misérable! 40 members joined, a collection of friends, faculty, students, alumni, and parents. The book club gathered monthly, rotating through each others' homes enjoying fellowship and meals over the table. Discussions would take place in living rooms, sharing in general reflections and thoughts, discussing the plot chronologically, and ending on their favorite quotes from the chapter that month. 

Six months of reading and 1300 pages later, the book club celebrated this momentous accomplishment by witnessing the musical together at the Pantages Theater in LA. As we embrace Pacifica's Strategic Vision 2030, moments like these capture our pursuit to Rally the really human things. Onward Tritons!
