PSAT/NMSQT Exam for Juniors | Oct. 17

Pacifica will be administering the PSAT/NMSQT on Saturday, October 17th. Testing will only be available to Juniors and is optional. The test will be administered on the Pacifica campus from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and costs $25.

Juniors may choose to take this exam as practice for the SAT. Additional reasons to take the PSAT/NMSQT include:

• To receive feedback on student strengths and weaknesses for academic skills in order to prepare for future exams.
• To see how performance on an admissions test might compare with that of other students applying to college. 
• To enter the competition for scholarships from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (grade 11 only).
• To help determine whether a student should take the SAT or ACT although these tests are now optional at many colleges.
• To receive information from colleges when you check "yes" to Student Search Service.

Registration and payment should be submitted by September 21st. To register, a student or parent can log in to MyPacifica and complete the form at the top of the page in the yellow bar labeled "You have 1 form to complete." 

Students should bring their school-provided iPad and a power cord, an approved calculator, two number 2 pencils, and a snack to the exam. They should arrive promptly, as they will not be able to take the exam once it starts.
