Born and raised in Orange County, California, Sarah attended Mariners Christian School and Mater Dei High School. Though she had always imagined attending a large university, she was led to Westmont College, a Christian, liberal arts college in Santa Barbara where she earned a B.A. in Communication Studies and a Minor in Hispanic Studies. During her time at Westmont, Sarah experienced first-hand the intentional learning that is fostered in a liberal arts setting with small classroom discussion and consistent interaction with faculty and staff during everyday life on campus. In her four years as a Westmont student, Sarah honed her Spanish skills while studying abroad in Querétaro, Mexico; worked as a classroom aid in a local, bilingual charter school; served as Resident Assistant to sophomore women; participated in a semester-long program in San Francisco working for a national nonprofit to support a network of tutoring centers in the US; and represented the student body as Vice President of the Westmont College Student Association.
Sarah began her marketing career at Montage Laguna Beach, a luxury Southern California resort distinguished by excellent service and a values-driven culture. Beyond the daily management of all marketing and public relations initiatives for Montage, she was chosen to sit on the board for Hearts of Montage, the resort’s associate-led charitable organization. In August 2015, Sarah was honored with the Montage Masters Award, a peer-nominated recognition of exceptional performance, attitude, and embodiment of the Montage values.
It was during elementary school that Sarah met her future husband, Wesley; the two began dating while at Westmont and were married April 11, 2015. When the Parsons are not cheering on the Pacifica Tritons at various sporting events or performances or chaperoning the dances, they can be found spending time at the beach, sharing meals with friends and family, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
Sarah is delighted to join the Pacifica family, bringing her enthusiasm and passion to further the mission of the school: teaching students to think and live well and encouraging them to fully become who God desires them to be. Her communications and marketing expertise will enable her to make connections in the community and build relationships with prospective families and students, inspiring them to embark on a Christian liberal arts journey at Pacifica Christian High School.
