Beyond the Classroom
WE DON’T TRAVEL SIMPLY TO HAVE FUN EXPERIENCES. WE DO IT TO DEEPEN OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORLD, SO THAT WE CAN MEANINGFULLY ENGAGE AND AFFECT THE WORLD AROUND US.
Learning new things firsthand is a hallmark of the Pacifica experience. Moving beyond the classroom and into our beautiful and complex world changes us for the better. Experiencing new countries and cultures gives students a chance to take risks, explore new ideas, and stretch themselves in ways that they never imagined. Students begin to understand the complete beauty of God’s creation and his love for all of mankind. Students connect with their peers and grow deeper with faculty through time spent in new cultures and environments. The Pacifica travel program provides students the opportunity to think and live well with the world as a backdrop.
Pacifica faculty, well-seasoned in international travel, guide students in adventures through the Louvre, a tropical rainforest, St. Peter’s Basilica, or the beachfront of Costa Rica, opening the door to the world, igniting their imaginations!
Travel opportunities are offered in three major categories, giving students a variety of options for travel over their four years of high school. Trips range from Academics/Leisure, Spiritual Growth/Service and Adventure. As students experience our world, they also grow in appreciation for God’s glorious creation.
